What is not to love about summer? The warm weather and the light rays on our skin feel energizing, so why not take the chance to throw a little outdoor event while the weather is so good?

Here are 10 ideas to implement for your next outdoor experience!

Idea 1: A Journey Event

Having an event at the park might be redundant and boring to a certain degree. Instead, incorporate the journey into it. What do I mean by this? For example, have a flow plan that would lead your guests from point A to point B and so on. This would ensure constant movement and excitement to experience the next attraction. This could vary from food and beverages up to entertainment.

Idea 2: Wellness Retreats

Indulging in healthy habits is not just a trend but the new way of loving ourselves. Hosting wellness retreats in natural settings such as forests, mountains, or beaches can bring out inner peace. With yoga sessions, meditation workshops, outdoor fitness classes, and healthy dining experiences, you can teach your attendees to be in tune with themselves and encourage well-being. Who would not appreciate that? I know I would.

Idea 3: Spartan Race

One of my favourite ways to get your team bonded is through a shared experience such as going through a Spartan Race. Something about competing against each other via mud, obstacles, and rock climbing with endless options brings up the team spirit. So go ahead and get that adrenaline pumping.

Idea 4: Get Inspired by Cabane à Sucre

There is a reason why Quebecers adore their Cabane à Sucre—besides that everything is covered in maple syrup. There is something about going out of the city into little farmlands where they practice, to this day, centuries-old traditions of maple syrup making while gathering all around the table. It really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get reconnected to the old ways of living.

Idea 5: Drive-In/Rooftop Cinemas

This used to be a very nostalgic activity, which I love so much. Going to a drive-in to watch classic films under the stars in the park, on the beach, or even on a rooftop—wherever we could set up a projector—what a moment it was! Something I would recommend to try at least once.

Idea 6: Carnivals

Oh yes, indeed, what is a better way to get your guests excited than going to a carnival or even better, bring the carnival to your guests. Who said it is only for kids? We too can let our inner child run around a little and enjoy ourselves with entertainment, food trucks, and music.

Idea 7: Showcase Exhibitions

This one is for the boys who love car displays… just kidding, this is for everyone! Add showcase exhibitions, whether art, vehicles, product demos, and more, to be on display for the guests to interact with.

Idea 8: Outdoor Escape Rooms

Can you imagine how thrilling it would be to have a whole maze with escape challenges. I can just imagine participants working together to solve puzzles and complete challenges in natural environments such as parks, forests, or urban landscapes, adding an adventurous twist to the traditional escape room concept.

Idea 9: Bridgerton Garden Party

I hope the “Bridgerton” show on Netflix also got you yearning for your own Regency era. Why not incorporate its theme at your next outdoor event? With beautiful dresses and suits to really live up to that time period, and perhaps include a little Pall Mall—a lawn game, too—while enjoying some cocktails and fine music.

Idea 10: Live Performances and Concerts

Here is a little secret – people bond over music. Something about a live performance can be imprinted in their minds for years afterward. Did you know another fascinating fact? Our hearts synchronize with the beat. Now imagine a crowd of 100 people outdoors sharing the same heartbeat—it gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. And what makes it even better than showcasing a diverse lineup of musicians and dancers? Throwing a unique location into the mix, such as botanical gardens or waterfronts.

Did any of the ideas get you inspired? I hope so. If not, I always have more ideas just a booking away!
